Vision

The Deanery’s vision is underpinned by five strategic objectives and supported by a set of agreed values and behaviours.

We aim to achieve the vision by:

• Offering the highest standard of postgraduate medical and dental education for trainees, the NHS and its patients ensuring appropriately trained professionals for tomorrow’s health care system
• Continuing to support the promotion and development of innovative multiprofessional education and training, revalidation and life-long learning
• Efficiently and effectively utilising the public funding provided by the MPET Levy to ensure maximum return on postgraduate medical and dental education and training
• Being a great place to work, attracting and retaining the best individuals to all of our positions and training programmes
• Fostering a patient and trainee focussed approach by inviting lay involvement at a number of levels in the delivery of the Strategic Plan and by gaining a better understanding of patient experiences and perspectives
• Building on our partnership approach to collaborative working with existing and potential new stakeholders at local, regional and national level
