RITA

Currently SpRs are assessed annually using the Record of In-training Assessment (RITA) Process. However, assessment of trainees is changing, inline with MMC, and assessment tools are now beginning to be phased in.

Further information about these assessment tools can be obtained from the MMC Website

As with the ARCP process, RITA is completed by a speciality-based panel and gives trainees the opportunity to review their progress and discuss any training needs.

Prior to assessment all trainees will be contacted by the Mersey Deanery office to confirm the correct date and time for review.

It will be the trainee's responsibility to:-

  • Confirm their attendance.
  • Provide the name and contact details of their supervising consultant.
  • Provide up-to-date curriculum vitae, prior to the assessment.
  • Bring along their up-to-date Training Record Folders/Portfolio's/Logbooks.

If the required documentation is not available on the day of review, this may result in a RITA form not being issued.

The Report Form is available to download as a PDF

Further information regarding RITAs can be found in the FAQ section.
