Managing Anxiety

From Wednesday 04 April 2012
To Tuesday 19 June 2012

"A range of three skills-based courses designed to help you implement basic Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) within your practice and service".

Led by Trainer: Dr Paul Blenkiron, Consultant Psychiatrist, Bootham Park Hospital, York.

These one day workshops are designed to help busy clinicians develop confidence in applying CBT within their daily practice. The focus is on jargon-free approaches that may be used in the context of individual or multidisciplinary team working and appropriate use of medication.

All three courses include guidance on suitability, effective interventions, when to refer for further input and the troubleshooting of common clinical difficulties. Each workshop stands alone, but coming to all three would provide added educational value and clinical expertise.

Cost

£200 per person. (A limited number of discounted places are available for psychiatric trainees and retired members of the RCPsych ). All learning materials, refreshments and buffet lunch are provided.
