Priory Medical Centre is a busy inner city practice with 7 partners (2 of whom are approved trainers). The Practice has a population of 12,200 and the premises were purpose built in 1999. The Practice is fully computerised and paper light.

The Practice is forward thinking, friendly and enthusiastic and totally committed to training and development. We have an excellent practice team and a great team spirit. We have monthly protected practice meetings with registrars present and monthly protected in house training for all team members.

The Registrar has his/her own consulting room with computer and Internet access. The consulting room is also equipped with a digital video camera. Protected weekly tutorial sessions in addition to in house training sessions. The new Registrar is obviously “attached” to one of the Trainers for formal induction and teaching sessions. However, the real learning takes place as problems present and on the spot help from all team members is most useful and to be availed of.

The practice provides a comprehensive range of services to patients including all chronic disease management, minor operations, family planning services (including coil and inplanon fitting).   We also have a fully equipped endoscopy unit on the premises.
