Interested in Becoming a Trainer?
There can be few career moves within General Practice as rewarding as becoming a Trainer. The opportunity to help the next generation of GPs is a great challenge and an exciting prospect.
In addition Trainers benefit hugely from the stimulus of preparing for and having registrars attached to the practice.
So what do you do if you want to get started?
If you are in an existing training practice then you may have some idea of how the system works.
If this is the first time your practice has wished to become involved then you may well be starting from scratch.
There are few areas you need to explore:
How do I prepare myself as an educator?
How do I ensure that the practice standards conform to the prescribed national standards?
