What is Grey Literature

Grey Literature is a vital source of information. It defines the practice, policy and research framework in which the NHS operates. Grey Literature consists of publications with little or no general distribution. It is the material that all health bodies generate for internal use and is therefore a repository of best practice. It includes NHS circulars, government reports, policies and procedures, care pathways and clinical guidelines.

Grey Literature and New Book Alerts

The FADE library, currently based at Regatta Place, is now one of the 50 leading grey literature collecting libraries in the world. Material is continually being added to our collection and we record updates fortnightly via our Grey Literature blog. This can be viewed at fadegreyliterature.blogspot.com

If you would like these blog updates to be sent to you via email, please notify This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. putting 'GREY LIT', 'NEW BOOK' or 'GREY LIT + NEW BOOKS' in the subject line
