The Mersey Deanery offers a wide range of experience to train Medical Microbiology trainees to the standard required for the Part 1 & Part 2 FRCPath examinations.

Organisation of Regional Training Programme
There is one Regional training programme in Mersey Deanery, based upon the 4 Hospital Trusts:
- Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital NHS Trust
- St Helens & Knowsley Hospitals Trust
- University Hospital Aintree.

Trainees will rotate around the hospitals named above depending on training requirements. Location, duration of placement and date of rotation will be agreed by the Educational Supervisors.
