This includes:

• Appointment to specialty training grades
• Assessment of trainee’s progress through the RCOG curriculum
• Recommendation for Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
• Responsibility for ensuring a high standard of postgraduate education within the specialty
• Approval of training posts within the region
