The Mersey Deanery School of Surgery has a number of specialties that aims to deliver the best possible surgical training throughout Merseyside and Cheshire.

Each school has a Programme Director who is responsible for all trainees within a speciality. All of the speciality training is supervised by the Speciality Training Education Committee (STEC) which has representatives from each Trust, Academic representative, Trainee representatives and a representative of the Dean.

The Deanery also provides administrative support with each school having its own dedicated support team consisting of a Section Leader and School Administrators.
