Pain Training Opportunities in the Mersey Deanery

Macmillan Fellow in Pain Medicine

This post is available for post-fellowship anaesthetists, or specialists from other disciplines with appropriate postgraduate pain training, and who are eligible for registration with the General Medical Council. It is an annual post, appointed in open competition for 1 year only and provides training and experience appropriate towards advanced pain training and the acquisition, for eligible candidates, of the FFPMRCA.

Pain Fellowship at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospitals

This post is available for post-fellowship anaesthetists, or specialists from other disciplines with appropriate postgraduate pain training, and who are eligible for registration with the General Medical Council. The work of the post includes a significant commitment towards the National Refractory Angina Centre. In combination with visits to other centres within the Deanery, it provides training and experience appropriate towards advanced pain training and the acquisition, for eligible candidates, of the FFPMRCA.

Pain Fellowship at Arrowe Park/Walton

This post has sessions at Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge hospitals and at the Walton Centre. There is also a commitment to obstetric anaesthesia and analgesia. In combination with visits to other centres within the Deanery, the post will provide training and experience appropriate towards advanced pain training and the acquisition, for eligible candidates, of the FFPMRCA.
