Allocation to Trusts
- Details
With the introduction of the new Foundation Programme application site, Mersey Deanery has changed their matching criteria.
From 2013, once allocated to Mersey via the national system you will be asked to rank a programme group (trust). The deadline for ranking the programme group online is the 22 March. You will be notified 26 March of your allocation. Allocation to the programme group will be based on your combined Situational Judgement Test (SJT) score and University score (decile).
For example:
John scores 72.5 and ranks Warrington and Halton 1st choice. Warrington has 36 places and all those have been filled by higher scoring applicants. John will be allocated to the next available trust based on his score and preference.
Once allocated to the programme group you will then be able to rank the programmes (rotations) for F1 within this group. Once allocated to the group, you wil be able to rank the prpgrammes (rotations) within the trust. Deadline for ranking rotations is 12 April and you will be informed of the programme match on the 17 April. Allocation to programmes will be based upon your combined SJT and decile score.
There are no scores that guarantee you a post in any trust.
In 2012 the highest combined application / quartile score was 93 and the lowest was 50.
Please note, this was using the previous application method of white space questions and university quartile scores.
Within Mersey Deanery Foundation School you will be based at the same trust for the 2 year programme, however some rotations include posts in different sites, for example GP placements.
